No Democracy
In the game of power, democracy is not always the winner.
Last year, the world witnessed the "WOMAN LIFE FREEDOM" movement led by courageous Iranian women against the current dictatorial regime. The game idea was inspired when, on April 21st, 2023, a coalition of six opposition parties at the movement's peak unexpectedly collapsed within just 43 days, significantly aided the regime, and crushed the hopes and voices of the people.
It is not a new chapter but a continuation of the centuries-old story of dictatorship. Additionally, Iran's abundant resources and geopolitical significance have consistently drawn global powers, further complicating its internal quest for democracy.
"No Democracy" is a Eurogame that engagingly illustrates the complex interplay between a dictatorship, opposition parties, and global powers. It serves as an educational tool, raising awareness about fighting for democracy and political power dynamics in Iran and beyond.
Introduction
In a land gripped by the shadow of a powerful Regime, the winds of change are stirring. The Regime stands on the edge of becoming untouchable, ready to rule for decades without challenge. Amidst this, various Opposition parties, each fueled by distinct dreams and ideas, share a common, urgent goal: to overthrow the Regime before it’s too late.
Even though these parties share a common enemy, they don’t always see eye to eye. Deep down, they know that once the Regime falls, only one of them can take the lead. It’s a delicate alliance, full of secret plans and hidden hopes.
The Regime isn’t giving up without a fight. Using wealth, power, and fear, they’re determined to crush any opposition. Just a little longer, and they’ll be unstoppable.
In this tense battle, powerful countries from around the world play a crucial role. They’re watching closely, keenly observing the unfolding drama. Both the Regime and the Opposition have established lobbies around the globe. The better their lobbying efforts, the stronger the support they receive, tipping the balance in this intense struggle for power.
“The Final Struggle” is all about the race for power. Who will end up in control? Will it be the Regime, one of the Opposition parties, or maybe none? In a world full of chaos, anyone might grab the chance to win at the very last minute.
